Goodbye The Social Snob
So yesterday afternoon I somehow built up the courage to get the wheels in motion for something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. When you rebrand anything there is a lot to think about and with doubts that would it all even be worth it. I am so happy to say that it is.
The truth is I have never loved my surname, even in school if anyone was referring to me they wouldn’t say blah blah blah Charlotte it always had to be ‘Charlotte Murphy’. Saying that though I’ve always despised my middle name ‘Adele’. I don’t know what it was about it but I’ve never liked it. It’s such a pretty name too, my mum will pleased to know that I love it so much now.
My mum took the inspiration from her maiden name ‘Totterdell’ and so Adele was created. I love that! Plus at least my middle name wasn’t ‘Louise’ like the 20 other girls in my year – LOL! When I started blogging I never wanted my name as my blog’s brand name and it’s so funny how I’m here now. You look at some of the other more established bloggers and they all have their name incorporated in their blog title. It’s clearly something I had missed out on for the last 2 years.
But Why Now
Better late than never, as they say. There is so much to consider when you want a new look or new name when it comes to any brand. You build up your following with one name and then you want to confuse them by changing it to something else? Sometimes it isn’t always greatly received but I feel for me this is the best way to move my blog forward.
I’m now 28 years old and yes I am still very much The Social Snob, but I’m also Charlotte Adele. The more personal kind of women you can relate to. That brings you reviews of all the latest beauty releases and fashion trends that you want to see.
I am absolutely in love with my new blog’s name, it has me written all over it. Wouldn’t you agree?
